The Riverside Cafe combines its unique riverside location with great interior surroundings. Its warm atmosphere and ample supply of real ale gives the pub a traditional feel whilst retaining a clean and inviting appeal to a variety of punters. In summer the riverside veranda is the perfect spot to relax in the sun and in winter the candlelit tables offer a great place to huddle together and chat over a few drinks.

Opus runs its popular Unplugged Sessions at The Riverside. A combination of handpicked local talent and open mic, the night offers an array of spoken word and what is for the best part acoustic acts, however, don't be surprised if you see a full band blasting it out or a guy with a loop pedal experimenting with electronica. The night draws a mixture of students, local drinkers and musicians and the atmosphere is always friendly.
